Rules of Play for UK Fantasy
Football 2006/2007 Competition:
Players score
points in the Champions League and UEFA Cup as well as the Carling Cup. This is
in addition to The Premiership and FA Cup as before. Qualifying rounds for the
Champions League do NOT count - neither does the Intertoto Cup or any
other fixtures. Players not picked for any reason score zero points for each
game they miss.
How To Score
It is easy to play; there are just 3 main
rules to remember. You must not spend more then the £100 million budget; you can’t
have more than 2 players from any one premiership club and you can only choose
the formations of 4-4-2 or 4-3-3.
Don’t worry if you make a mistake you will be
prompted on REGISTRATION.
- 10
points are awarded for a goal scored by any player in the Premiership, FA
Cup, League Cup, Champions League and UEFA Cup (including Goalkeepers!)
- Qualifying
rounds of the Champions League and UEFA Cup do NOT score points. The first
games proper count only.
- A
player who scores a hat-trick or more will be awarded 10 bonus points,
giving 40 points for 3 and 50 points for 4 etc.
- A
Goalkeeper or defender who keeps a clean sheet in all the above games
scores 10 points. If One goal is conceded they will score no points. For
each goal conceded after that they would score -2. So Three conceded will
earn -4 etc.
- A midfielder whose team keeps a clean sheet
scores Four points. This is in
addition to any others they may be eligible for. Midfielders are not
penalised if their side concedes goals.
- Any
player, who doesn't enter the field of play through Non-selection, injury
or un-playing substitute will score no points.
- If
a Goalkeeper or defender comes on from the bench he will be deemed as
played in the match and will score points for a clean sheet and lose
points for conceding even if he came on after the goals were scored.
- Any
player who gets a booking gets -2. If he is sent off he loses 6 points
(even if it is for two bookable offences).
- A goalkeeper who saves a penalty scores Six
points. A ‘save' is defined as a goal not being scored directly from the
penalty spot (e.g. if the ball rebounds off a post then that is a 'save').
Penalty save points are awarded even if a goal is scored subsequently
(e.g. from open play after the ball has rebounded off a post).
- There
will be a bonus of 40 points awarded to the player who scores the most
points during the season. This will be added to that players score after
the Champions League Cup Final in 2007.
- A
player who plays well will get 6 points this is determined by their
average mark from the national media and must be 7 or above. One
player in every match will be awarded a bonus of 10 points for getting the
Man of The Match. These points will be decided by UK Fantasy Football
panel of experts and by using top class national media reports. Our
decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- During
the course of the season it is inevitable that players will be transferred
between clubs and if this occurs the player will still score points if he
stays within the Premiership. If he leaves the Premiership or retires for
whatever reason he will score no more points unless he returns to a
Premiership Club.
- Rules
remain the same for games involving extra-time. The final score after
extra-time will determine the points allocated. Penalty shoot-outs do not
merit any points.
- For
the purpose of the Game every player will be registered against his
original team.
- Transfers.
Each Manager from the date of Registration will be given the opportunity
to make ONE transfer each month of the season. If this is not used it will
be lost as they are not accrued. To help you overcome the problems of
broken legs and serious loss of form to players on Registration you will
be issued 3 "Floating" transfers. These can be made at any time
during the season. This will enable you to make 2 or more changes in a
month if you decide, for e.g. You make your Monthly Transfer and then the
following match your striker breaks a leg you can then use a
"Floater" to bring someone else in.
- In
all transfers you must keep to the Rules as specified in paragraph 1
above.
